H S O. U A W. LOCAL 2350 • AFL-CIO,CLC

The Headquarters Staff Organization was independently organized and freely recognized by the California State Employee Association, as the bargaining agent for its non-management staff. The HSO won many protections and benefits for its diverse membership and thrived.

Once the employer began to be influenced by large labor organization, the HSO saw value in affiliation with another international union and selected the United Autoworkers International (UAW).

1973 – Founding of the Headquarters Staff Organization

1986 Headquarters Staff Organization got a Charter from the UAW

The future of UAW 2350 will be filled with continued vigilant representation of CSEA & Affiliate staff. We will also explore ways for our local to grow, to organize the un-organized and build on our many victories.
